Ken Roczen

KEN ROCZEN

Ken Roczen joined the Red Bull Teka KTM Factory Racing Team at the beginning of the 2011 season. Already known as one of the world’s hottest MX2 properties, the talented lad from Thüringen in Germany made his mark in the world of motocross by riding his KTM 250 SX-F factory bike to an end-of-season triumph.
Ken wrapped up the world championship season, winning eight of the 15 round GPs outright and taking second place on four occasions. Showing his fighting spirit, he vaulted back from a slight two-GP dip midseason, proving unstoppable right up until he secured the world title at home in Germany.
In 2011, Ken also rode selected races in the AMA SX Lites (West Coast) competition for the Red Bull Teka KTM factory team in the USA, under the leadership of Roger DeCoster. Despite travelling across the Atlantic, Ken managed to take his first SX Lites podium at Anaheim 2, where he finished third and secured his first SX Lites victory in Las Vegas at the close of the season.
In 2012 Ken raced full-time in the USA for the Red Bull KTM Factory Team and added to his skillset under the firm hand of DeCoster, a legend in the sport and a team manager of huge reputation and credentials.
And such tutelage obviously paid off, in 2013 Ken raced all the way to victory, becoming AMA Western Regional 250SX Champion. In 2014 he moved to the premier class in the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship and, of course, won.
Simply cast your eye over the young German's most recent accolades and you'll see that his career is already an extremely successful one.
